[ANNOUNCE] LyX 2.1.0 Released

The LyX development team is pleased to announce the release of LyX
2.1.0. This release represents the result of more than three years of
hard work. Many bugs have been fixed, and several new features have been
added. The new features in LyX 2.1 are detailed in

* Native IPA inset and IPA toolbar
* New supported languages
* Tex Fonts Additions
* Basic support for Math OpenType fonts
* Document class categories
* Enhanced support for LaTeX options

* Layout enhancements
* New modules
* Equation Editor "mode"

What about LyX 2.0.8? We should tell that this release can create file
in the format of LyX 2.1.

There are some lyx2lyx issues that were discovered since 2.1.0 was
released. We are likely to release a 2.0.8.1, and since 2.0.8 has not
been announced, it may be best to just announce 2.0.8.1 next week. See
that thread.
