Dear LyX Users and Developers,

I would like to add a note to the wiki page for the songbook layout[1],
namely for the keyboard bindings - they have to be modified for recent
LyX versions.

Now I can edit the parent page[2] with the "LyX" password but not the
child page[1]. How can I contribute to the wiki?

Best Regards,
MB

Hi Michael,

I checked this page:
http://wiki.lyx.org/Site/PasswordProtected
that lists the pages that should be password protected, and it did include
[1]. Then checking the history of [1] I saw that spam bots had been at it,
which is likely why it's protected. That was in 2010 though, so I think
it's ok to remove [3] the password protection now. Well, I'm hoping it's
back to requiring the regular password for editing.

I also hope this e-mail will make it to the list... haven't tried to write
there from this address before. If it doesn't make, I hope you (Michael)
can forward it to the list so it's referencable in the list archive.

Regards,
Christian

[3] I removed the password by going to
http://wiki.lyx.org/Layouts/SongbookInstall?action=attr and setting the
'Edit password' to 'clear'.
To be able to access the page attributes I needed the site admin password
(which only developers can find on the lyx.org-server).

The regular password worked and I incorporated the change (FWIW: [1]) -
much obliged!
