I tried the tar-ball on Mac 10.8.5 and have a problem with it. Benjamin had noticed it with 2.1 too:
The Open File dialog is unusable - see the mail below.

I'll build LyX 2.0.8.1 on a Mac 10.6 and I hope this build will not have the problem.
But I want to inform you already now.

Another strange bug… but this time, I can reproduce it; and it is not related to python 3.
- start lyx normally, try to open a file, cancel, try again - this works
- start lyx with -dbg gui, do the same, the second time (and next tries) it does not open (or open but closes so fast that it can barely be seen, let alone allowing to select a file)
It seems to be only a OS X 10.9 bug, and happens only when running in debug mode, which makes the bug not so important.

I can reproduce it. Here I cannot open any file, too, if I start LyX with -dbg gui.
The open file dialog closes like a flash - already with the first try.

As I just upgraded my development PC I want to test the new version on another PC first before you
publish it. So I will test my installer tomorrow thoroughly and say if it is OK to be published. OK?
