Dear lyx-devel list

Just wanted to say that I experienced a very similar issue as reported
on the lyx-users mailing list:
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.general/75281

Reproduce:
-Lyx 2.1 on Linux creates files
-Lyx 2.0.7 on Windows cannot open the file, with same error message as
reported on lyx-users: Buffer_convertLyxFormat.hXXXX is not a readable
Lyx Document

problem appeared every time in any configuration (even just saving under
2.1 Linux a lyx file obtained from "new from template", cannot be opened
in Win 2.0.7).

Solve:
By updating Lyx 2.0.7 on Win to 2.1, problem was solved, so could
unfortunately not test if issues of EOl at end of Linux created file was
the problem (as reported on lyx-user message).

Please let me know if you would like me to open a bug ticket. Kindly
keep me on cc if further information required, as I am not subscribed to
lyx-devel
