Hi Guys,

thanks for this - I've tried making the changes and then compiling for
windows, but I failed miserably (I am no techie), I could not get the
software to compile. Some folks tried
to help, but I guess it was too complicated to do this remotely.

I will be waiting with hope and patience :-)

best wishes,
Paola

Since most of these icons are png, there will of course be scaling issues.
Another reason to wish for svg icons, I suppose.
Paola, if you can compile LyX yourself you might try playing around with
that part of GuiView.cpp and see what sorts of results you get.

I think 52 would be ok for me, but the larger icon could be pushed to 66
say, so having 40 for small, 52 for medium and 64 or 66 for large.

What would be the typical sizes for a high density display? Until we get
svg icons, the only choice is probably to scale what we have. Would 32, 40
and 52 be useful ? Or probably only 40 and 52...

Note that the sizes I proposed are the double of currently existing
sizes. There is no miracle, this is about using scaling...
